If you become a reasonably good writer, there are many ways to make a great living.  You can sell your articles to newspapers, magazines or online web sites.  You can become a professional copywriter and sell your writing to direct marketing firms or the easiest way to get started is by writing articles and utilizing an effective Google Adwords strategy.  To get started, you first need to decide what you want to write about. 

There are two ways of choosing a topic:

1.  Write about something that you are truly passionate about.

2.  Write about a topic that has a high economic value.

If you are lucky, you have an interest in an area that provides a high economic value such as real estate, travel, finance or investing.  A good way to search for a high economic value topic is to look at the most expensive keywords in google.  The price per click someone is willing to pay will change from day to day, but ones that are high will tend to stay high because they have high economic value.  You will see that many of these are financial services related terms, for which content is always in demand.

As you can see many of the top keywords deal with credit, insurance and related topics.  Now I understand that most people would not want to write about those topics, so fortunately there are hundreds of other topics that are very profitable.
